demodedamsel: “Mme Elisabeth et Marie Antoinette s’embrassant” Alexandre Moitte (1750-1828) Lille, Palais des Beaux-Arts I just love this picture of Marie-Antoinette and Madame Elisabeth hugging each other and Marie-Antoinette (I assume) giving her sister-in-law an affectionate peck on the forehead. :) The fashions indicate it could have been drawn sometime in the late 1770s/early 1780s.
